Flower Brothers Pendemonium at the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts
Here is some information on the current exhibit at the Nina Haggery Stollery Gallery. Looks like one to see!
Ted and David Flower showcase their unique, and painstaking, output at the Nina Haggerty Centre’s new Stollery gallery: 9225 118th Avenue. The runs until November 28th.
Marvel at these pictures, created entirely with coloured ball-point pens! Two monumental cityscapes, of Edmonton and Calgary, dominate the walls. The rest of the gallery is festooned with smaller works that compliment and support the epic drawings.
Years in the making, these images will change your notion of what power a pen can wield.
Ted Flower, born in Drayton Valley, is aiming to complete as many large-scale drawings of major Canadians as possible before 2017, Canada’s 150th birthday.
Ted’s younger brother, David Flower, born in Edson, has taken up the uncommon and labour-intensive practice of drawing with ball point pens as well.
