6:30 pm Alberta Browncoats Society Knitting Group

The Alberta Browncoats Society is a registered not-for-profit group that’s
main goals is to socialize, have fun, and raise funds for equality-based
organizations. We’ve raised a smidgen over $30,000 since we held our first
fundraising event in June 2010.

Our group ranges from anywhere between 5-15 knitters. Members of the general public
are always welcome to join us – in fact many have and we have a few
“regulars” who aren’t Browncoats (yet) who we’ve grown to really enjoy
knitting & visiting with!

We knit a specific style toque for our charity fundraising events. Yarn is
provided to volunteers if they contact info@albertabrowncoats.com at least
24 hours in advance. I need to ensure I bring enough to the session. All
skill levels are welcome. We can’t promise the best caliber instruction
but we do try ;)

And, of course, if other knitters or yarn workers just want to drop by
with their own projects they are more than welcome to do so.
