This is an extension of the ”Part Time Choristers” meetup group, but is for those who are in Edmonton and have a schedule that permits them to do weekly rehearsals. Local fashion designer, Jean Nipp, will showcase some of her work, designed for the completion of her Masters in Textile Design. She will feature pieces influenced by Northern and Western African tradition, and explain what is behind the tradition. Celina, from Mama Afro Beauty (9323 118 Ave) can braid any three strands, and will do just that for us, demonstrating how it’s done. Location |
