Our Partners
A big thank you goes out to our partners in putting on the Deep Freeze Festival.
Avenue Initiative Revitalization
Along 118th Avenue from NAIT to Northlands the City of Edmonton, Community and Business came
together and created the Avenue Initiative Revitalization Strategy. As part of the City’s new Office of Great Neighbourhoods this partnership has continued for the past 5 years working to revitalize the area, creating a safe, vibrant community.
A combination of infrastructure improvements, lighting, beautification, façade improvements, arts, festivals and events has vitalized and shaped a new sense of community. The Avenue Initiative is proud to be a partner of this exciting festival; it is the warmth of the people who live in this unique and special area of Edmonton that truly melts the Deep Freeze. Thanks to everyone who makes events such as Deep Freeze possible, it is your work and commitment that has created the change over the past years.
Sculptors’ Association of Alberta
Born out of a need for improved communication amongst people who share an interest in sculpture, the Sculptors’ Association of Alberta was formed in 1986. A large part of the SAA mandate is to facilitate public art demonstrations in various mediums that
include ice and snow. These demonstrations take on many of the aspects of performance art and have become popular events in the Edmonton community.
Four years ago the SAA had the pleasure to partner with Arts on the Ave and the Avenue Initiative to bring the Alberta Avenue community its first Deep Freeze festival. Enjoy the sights and sounds of chainsaws and chisels as artists create an ephemeral ice garden in Tom Fool’s Ice & Snow Kingdom during the 4th Annual Ice Creations at this year’s festival.

Alberta Avenue Community Centre
The Alberta Avenue Community Centre (AACL) is proud to once again partner with Arts on the Ave (AOTA) on this fantastic winter festival.
Our community centre is a vibrant part of life on the Ave, busy with community events, festivals and programs as well as a year round Farmers’ Market held every Thursday. Our large facility is also available for private rentals at a very economical rate!
Check us out at www.albertaave.org.
We look forward to working with AOTA in many future ventures to bring life and laughter to the community.
