The annual Deep Freeze Festival is returning to Alberta Avenue this January. Here are the details.

Saturday, 10 AM-11 PM, Sunday 12-6 PM

Deep Freeze Festival is a community celebration that serves up “Tom Foolery” and winter fun for the whole family. Enjoy the enchanted ice and snow garden, outdoor curling, skating, hayrides and the Melt the Deep Freeze dance party. Winter Light 2010 collaborates with Deep Freeze to present daily shows of an outdoor theatre, Mummery, plus story telling in the trips, and free hot chocolate.

Deep Freeze a Great Success – and We’re Not Stopping!

Hello Everyone, the Deep Freeze Festival was very successful and thanks to all who came and especially to those who volunteered to help out. We welcomed over 1000 people to the festival and had lots of positive feedback.

The top three winners of the ice carving competition were: Michael Rapati (first), Helen Rogers (second) and the chef team from NAIT: James Szutarski and Michael Gobin (third). Pictures will be coming soon.

Please mark January 19th on your calendar as the next Artist Trading Card event at the Carrot Cafe. Upcoming Friday night performers include Dr. Blu on January 18th and Terry Morrison on January 25th.
