Want to give back to the community? Interested in being apart of a fantastic arts festival?
The Kaleido Festival is on September 25-27 2009 and the festival needs your help. We require volunteers to take on a variety of roles from manning the information booth to stage managing one of the various venues at the festival. The variety of artists and performers lined up for this year is truly spectacular and make sure you dont miss out by volunteering for the Kaleido Festival.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Nathan at kaleido2009@gmail.com

Volunteering at The Carrot: The coffee house is completely volunteer driven so we are always looking for baristas, hosts for our open mic stage on Saturday nights, cashiers, and those interested in helping with special events. Working at the Carrot is fun…you never know who you will run into! If you are interested in getting involved please contact Christy Morin at christytheatre@shaw.ca or call 722-3733
Volunteering on a Committee: The Arts on the Ave board welcomes people to participate on one of our committees. Depending on your interest and expertise, you can choose from the Theatre Committee (for performance events and activities), the Curating Committee (for visual arts events and activities), the Carrot Committee (for the coffee house) and the Festival Committee. (plans our winter and fall festivals) If you would like to volunteer in any capacity, please contact Christy Morin at christytheatre@shaw.ca or call 722-3733.

The weather is great, we’re looking forward to being outside more often,
and holiday time is just around the corner. The Carrot is getting busy too -
last Friday morning we had 6 or 7 people in by 9:45 am. There were 2
business meetings starting, then came in the Babes in Arms group.
With all the activity at the carrot we certainly need more people to take
care of our clients. If you know of someone who would be interested
in learning to become a barista, please have them get in contact with Irene
or the carrot and someone will get back to them shortly.
If you haven’t made coffee in awhile how about giving it a try again?
To volunteer, contact Irene, our volunteer Coordinator, at 477-6590 or irene@ehenri.ca
