Thursday November 26th Salute our year with a final fundraiser

Join us on Thursday November 26th for Arts on the Ave’s Pub Night Fall Fundraiser, taking place at The Stollery Gallery @ The Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts (9225 118 Ave). Tickets are only $10 and include finger foods and great entertainment. There will be a cash bar, live music and an art auction!











We will also be accepting donations of new mittens and socks for the Bissel Centre.

Tickets are available for purchase in person at The Carrot, and online or by phone at Tix On The Square. Tickets are limited – get yours soon!

Carrot’s Sidewalk Arts Sale

The Carrot Community Art Coffeehouse will host the Carrot’s Sidewalk Arts Sale on Saturday July 18th in conjunction with the 118th Avenue Pop-Up Market Street Sale “Rising Up” on Alberta Ave between 85th and 90th Streets.

This year there will be space for a limited number of artists to set up on the block in front of and beside the Carrot. The space is on a first-come first served basis. Artists are responsible for bringing their own table, tent and chair and to be set up for 9:00 am.

Venue: The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse (9351-118 Ave)
Dates: Saturday July 18 (9:00AM-4:00PM)
Cost: $10 per table

To apply for a table at the Carrot’s Sidewalk Arts Sale please download the form below and return it to carrotassist@gmail.com or bring it into the Carrot (9351-118 Ave) with payment in cash, credit, debit or cheque by Thursday July 16th, 2015. If absolutely unable to drop in prior to deadline, communicate your intention to attend and we can advise on availability to pay and set up Saturday.

The Carrot’s Sidewalk Arts Sale

Explore the Avenue July 18th as the Carrot hosts an amazing array of local artists, in an open air market . They will have a lots of cool stuff for sale, there’s sure to be something to pique your curiousity! Early birds get the best view, grab a drink from us and browse!


Hours of Operation 

The Carrot is now open until 4 PM Tuesdays, giving you more time to get the best espresso around!

We are open:

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am – 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 9:30pm
  • Fridays from 9:00am – 10:00pm
  • Saturdays from 9:00am -10:00pm
  • Sundays and Mondays we are closed.

We are a Community Arts Coffeehouse sprouting up from the fertile ground of the Alberta Avenue arts revolution. You can find us at 9351-118 ave in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We’re open most of the time, but you can get detailed hours here. Every Friday and Saturday night we feature live art – be it music, poetry, drama, comedy – whatever. We even offer an open stage Saturday nights. You can view the full lineup here. During the week, you may also find artists busy at their craft while you sip your excellent espresso.What we are really all about is Community and Art. Come in and see for yourself. We guarantee the freshest Carrot around.

Help The Carrot Grow … Volunteer!

Our lovely little coffee house is completely volunteer driven so we are always looking for baristas, hosts for our open mic stage on Saturday nights, cashiers, and those interested in helping with special events.
