Welcome to The Carrot.

“There is coming a day when a single carrot freshly observed will set off a revolution.” ~ Paul Cezanne

We are a Community Arts Coffeehouse sprouting up from the fertile ground of the Alberta Avenue arts revolution. You can find us at 9351-118 ave in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We’re open most of the time, but you can get detailed hours here. Every Friday and Saturday night we feature live art – be it music, poetry, drama, comedy – whatever. We even offer an open stage Saturday nights. You can view the full lineup here. During the week, you may also find artists busy at their craft while you sip your excellent espresso. What we are really all about is Community and Art. Come in and see for yourself. We guarantee the freshest Carrot around.

In addition to great espresso drinks and teas, we offer snacks, breakfast and lunch items to munch on. Come in for a toasted bagel in the morning, or a bowl of piping hot, organic soup, with a delicious roll on the side.

Extra Hours for Deep Freeze Festival

We are open from noon to 6 PM on Sunday, January 10, 2010 as part of the Deep Freeze Festival. Come warm up with a latte during the Festival!

Help The Carrot Grow … Volunteer!

Our lovely little coffee house is completely volunteer driven so we are always looking for baristas, hosts fora our open mic stage on Saturday nights, cashiers, and those interested in helping with special events. Volunteering at the Carrot is fun…you never know who you will run into! If you are interested in getting involved please contact Christy Morin at christytheatre@shaw.ca or call 722-3733

Our Hours

The Carrot is now open at 9 AM Tuesday-Friday, giving you an extra hour to get the best espresso around. View our full hours here.
