The Carrot features live entertainment every Friday night. If you do not see an act for a given date, they have simply not been posted yet.

Every Saturday: Garden Variety: Open Mic Saturday Nights!
Homegrown talent takes the stage Saturday nights at the Carrot. Come down at 7 PM for original music, poetry, comedy and more at Edmonton’s newest open mic experience.
Want to play? Just bring your guitar, your poems, your jokes, your self and show up early to get on the list. Sets should be no more than 15 minutes for music and 10 minutes for spoken word, poetry, comedy, monologue, etc.

All AOTA members are invited to attend the Arts On the Ave Annual General Meeting on April 18th, from 2-4 PM at The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse (9351 118th ave).

Fine And Design: Carrot Arts Market
Come shop Edmonton made originals.
Putting out the call for Artists and Artisans who wish to take part in the The Carrot Fine and Designed Market Spring Season.
We will be are accepting submissions for our open-air arts markets and festivals in August and September. Contact Lorraine Shulba at lshulba@shaw.ca and please indicate dates preferred. If you had been selected previously there is no need to send in your work unless you have changed what you are doing drastically. We will contact you later in the week to confirm dates.
Writers’ Circle
The Carrot Writing Circle is a place where people get together to work on writing prompts and flex their literary muscles every Tuesday from 7 to 9pm. All genres. A critique circle is held on the fourth Tuesday of every month where you can get help or just some encouragement.
Knitting Group
Tuesdays from 7 PM -9 PM
Stitch and Chat
Gathering for fiber artists (knit, crochet, cross stitch, sewing) to indulge in their craft.
7 pm most Wednesdays.
Carrot Visual Artist Collective
Second Wednesday of the month 7 PM to 9 PM
If you are an visual artist (Whether a novice or professional) feel free to drop in, have a coffee and chat.
Zoomers: Open Mic for “Boomers with Zip!”
Thursday afternoons at The Carrot get lively! We’re calling for performers for the Zoomers (Boomers with Zip) Open Mic. If you’re a singer, musician, storyteller, poet, comedian, magician, actor, etc., come along to The Carrot on Thursdays from 1-4 PM and share your talent with others.
