Bethel Food Pantry

Bethel Place Food Pantry & Hub is a safe place for in need community members to access free food within the Alberta Ave area. With the barriers put up for families to access food, become a part of ensuring dignity and access to food for all.

The Bethel Food Pantry is a safe place for members of the Norwood community to access free food, personal hygiene, household and other donated items. The Pantry is open weekly on Monday afternoons from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm (excluding statutory holidays) at the Edmonton Bethel Gospel Chapel (11461 95 Street).

Community members shop and select the food and personal items they require for the week. Bring your own bags!

The Bethel Food Pantry is a joint venture made possible by Edmonton’s Food Bank, the City of Edmonton, Bethel Gospel Chapel, Arts on the Ave, the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights, and the Neighbourhood Empowerment Team.

Open Your Heart & Open A Can -
Can Opener Drive

Help us fill an unusual and important gap in food distribution!

While most food hampers include essential canned goods like soup, fish, and fruits, they often miss one crucial item: a can opener. Many recipients, especially those in insecure housing or living on the streets, face challenges accessing these foods without a can opener.

This is where YOU can make a difference! By supporting our "Open Your Heart, Open a Can" initiative, you ensure that everyone has the tools they need to enjoy their meals. Let's make sure no one goes hungry because of a missing can opener.

Donations of can openers “can” be dropped off at the Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse (9351-118 Ave)!
