Make a difference, one family at a time

We are desperately in need of 50 caring families/individuals to help local Alberta Avenue district families with their grocery staples for a short 6 month commitment.

The Process is simple! Arts on the Ave will match you to a local family. Then you reach out and connect with your family for their grocery list, and head to the store. Once you are finished your shop, arrange to drop off the groceries. There is no cash exchanged, just good feelings and fuller bellies!

Talk. Shop. Drop. 2x per month - $75 budget per shop.

Being a volunteer family for the Families Helping Families initiative is more than just delivering groceries to community families. These volunteer families provide essential items that keep their community strong and healthy.

Volunteer families create a special bond with their community families, which time and time again has proven to last much longer than the 6 month commitment. Many volunteer families comment on the warm welcomes they receive from their community families, and share many stories and laughs.

Currently, we are oversubscribed with families seeking assistance. At this time, we are specifically inviting donors to join our cause.
