Arts on the Ave & The Edmonton Elks
President’s Gallery
Welcome to Arts on the Ave’s specially curated gallery for the Edmonton Elks’ Presidential Suite. These whimsical paintings exhibited at today’s game are by Robin Light, an Edmonton-based artist living and working in the Alberta Avenue district. Robin's works of art were influenced by the older homes in her neighbourhood and by the small slices of indoor life not seen from the street.
We thank you for supporting Arts on the Ave with your purchase of Robin Light’s painting. Our gallery coordinator will contact you in the next business day to arrange a pick-up time for your new painting! If you’d like to see more art by Robin Light, her exhibition, House and Home, is showing at The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse until July 2, 2022.
About Arts on the Ave
Begun in 2005 and incorporated in 2007, Arts on the Ave Edmonton Society is a registered charitable organization engaged in developing 118th Avenue (75 – 106 Streets) into a community arts district to cultivate placemaking and positive urban renewal in our inner-city community.
Arts on the Ave nurtures creative environments for all individuals to experience the joy and benefits of artistic expression. The charity's signature projects include a social enterprise, The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse, free art festivals, Kaleido Family Arts Festival and Deep Freeze Byzantine Winter Festival. On the day-to-day, Arts on the Ave is also engaged with community stakeholders. The charity is active in finding solutions to community safety and food security through the programs Green Alleys Project, Families Helping Families and Bethel Place Food Pantry.
