Celebrating Alberta Avenue
Edmonton - Edmonton Police Service, Arts on the Ave and Alberta Avenue Business Association (AABA) are celebrating the Alberta Avenue community at AvèPalooza, October 16, 12 - 4pm at Battista's Calzone (11745 84 street).
"We're thrilled to partner with these community members to host a fall block party - AvèPalooza," says Jay Ball, Executive Director for AABA. "This event is about Alberta Avenue as a whole: the local businesses, the vibrant arts scene, the amazing food and of course, the people that make up the community."
Enjoy food from Battista's Calzone, T&D Vietnamese Noodlehouse and Flava Cafe served up by members of EPS; watch a mural being created by artist and community member Tim Rechner; learn the art of pumpkin carving from The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse October artist-in-residence, Sundeera Gangodoge; put your dancing shoes on for a family-friendly dance party featuring DJ KWAKE and Locution Revolution; test out your basketball skills with members of the Edmonton Stingers and get your photo taken with the CEBL Championship Trophy.
AvèPalooza is free and open for all to attend. This is an outdoor event requiring social distancing between households. Mask wearing is strongly recommended.
